課程概述 |
The undergraduate genetics and genomics internship aims to train students participating in this project with strong genetic background. Most students will work with a classic model organism, Drosophila melanogaster, and closely related species to address a specific scientific question. Students should send an e-mail to the instructor (Chau-Ti Ting, ctting@ntu.edu.tw) before March 10th, 2018 to be able to have an opportunity to participating this internship in spring semester. |
課程目標 |
The undergraduate genetics and genomics internship allow students to explore their problem solving skills in science. Based on projects, students will gain hands-on experiences in scientific research. As many similar internships, we encourage students take this internship as a beginning step for their academia careers. |
課程要求 |
Students are required to discuss classic papers in genetics and genomics with the instructor. Regular attendance and active participation is expected. The final reports can be a regular project report or a research proposal based on their preliminary data. |
